Thank you @gumix! The sound fix is already on the snap package! (In fact it was the snap package maintainer who mentioned to me that he was getting sound only after changing the volume, so I tried to investigate it and submit a patch!)

Right now I guess I'm 95% developer, so 100% is the closest answer I guess
